If you have any criminal convictions or charges pending, you should send this information under separate, confidential cover to the HR Manager within Adam Smith College and we confirm that this information will only be seen by those who need to see it as part of the recruitment process.

At interview or under separate discussion, we will ensure an open and measure discussion on the subject of any offences or other matters that might be considered relevant for the position concerned.  Failure to reveal information that is relevant to the position applied for could lead to withdrawal of an offer of employment.

We undertake to make every subject of the PVG Disclosure aware of the existence of the Code of Practice, and a copy of the Code and/or College's Disclosure Scotland - Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme procedure may be requested.

Having a criminal record will not necessarily debar you from working with Adam Smith College.  This will depend on the nature of the position, together with the circumstances and background of your offences or other information contained on a disclosure certificate or provided directly to us by a Police Force.
